Black Holes

A black hole is a region of space where gravity is so strong that nothing, not even light, can escape once it gets too close. This happens when a massive amount of matter gets crushed into a very small space, often from the collapse of a dying star. The boundary marking the point of no return around a black hole is called the event horizon.
