Epistemology

Epistemology is the branch of philosophy that studies knowledge itself—asking what it means to truly "know" something, rather than just believe it. It examines questions like how we can justify our beliefs, what separates a lucky guess from real knowledge, and how much we can trust our senses, reasoning, or other people's testimony. Essentially, it's the study of how we know what we know.
